Quick Facts

I grew up in Belle River, a small town outside of Windsor, Ontario. Both my parents were avid marathon runners, so during my summer breaks, we often traveled across the states to attend various races. They made a point of taking my sister and me to visit different college campuses in the cities we visited. While I cherished Windsor, I always knew I wanted to leave home for university. I was drawn to the culture of American colleges and the pride students took in their schools. When I toured Western, I knew I had found my place. I obtained both my BA and MA at Western University in the Faculty of Information and Media Studies.
My mom worked in the news industry for most of her career, which fueled my love of storytelling. She is incredibly hardworking, and I always looked forward to her coming home each day so I could hear about the stories she was working on. She took a lot of pride in her job and understood the sensitivity of being trusted to effectively and accurately capture other people’s stories. This really resonated with me. I have always said my approach to marketing and branding is centered around telling brand stories that resonate with consumers.
My younger sister, Maddie, is my best friend. She lives in Windsor, so I don’t get to see her every day, but the distance hasn’t impacted our relationship at all. I value my time with her immensely. We talk on the phone every day, and we are always sending each other TikToks, attending concerts together, or planning our next dinner date.
I love food. I especially love that food tells a story of people’s history, culture, and traditions. I think it is truly a form of self-expression and allows us to learn more about who someone is and where they come from. I will try anything, and there are very few foods I don’t like. One of my favorite parts about traveling is exploring different cultures through food. It makes traveling so much more immersive and personal.
